GD Express Foundation is committed to giving back to communities where we live, work and thrive. It is an honor and a privilege to organize, sponsor and participate in local community events, youth camps and back to school initiatives. MISSION & VALUES
Part of our mission is to foster and promote the instruction or training of youth for the purpose of improving or developing their capabilities. GD Express seeks to promote instruction and training in all aspects of life to benefit the community. GD Express supports well-rounded programming, including health & wellness, student literacy, as well as sporting activities for kids as a way to promote social welfare, improve education, and focus on our youth.
PROGRAMS
YOUTH CAMP
Through our skills camp, we provide a platform for student athletes to showcase their skills and learn teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship with one-on-one training and development offered by current and former professional athletes as well as experienced coaches. Recently, we were able to work with nearly 200 high school athletes who were nominated by their football coaches to participate in a skills camp.
CELEBRITY GAMES
In February 2025, we invited celebrities across the country to a 7-on-7 in New Orleans, Louisiana to create an inclusive celebration of football and fun. Student athletes had a chance to play against professional players, musicians, design artists and more. It was an amazing opportunity to celebrate culture with aspiring young athletes.
health and wellness activities
At GD Express, we believe a strong body starts with a strong mind. Our programs offer holistic approaches to wellbeing, including nutrition tips, sessions with certified yoga and Pilates instructors to learn the benefits of physical fitness, and the provision of health screenings by local healthcare professionals.
Back to School Initiatives
Through our work with the “Stay in the Game” program, we have worked with the Cleveland Browns Foundation to encourage daily learning and everyday attendance.
Our Signature event
In 2023, Grant partnered with teammates AJ Green, Greg Newsome, MJ Emerson, and Ogbo Okoronkwo, along with community allies including the Cleveland Browns, the City of Cleveland, Cleveland Metropolitan Housing Authority, AmeriHealth Caritas Ohio, The United Way, Tri-C, and the Pearl Flower Foundation. Together, they touched the lives of over 375 children, providing toys, bikes, games, hot cocoa, and gingerbread house stations. Notably, the event also offered free haircuts and valuable community resources such as employment opportunities, healthcare benefits, and educational advancement for parents.
In 2024, Grant expanded the reach of this incredible event, by providing not only toys but also a holiday meal for families in need. The event expands each year, to include more families and community partners. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
